After mould preparation, artisans harden it in the oven until the plaster sets, causing the wax to melt out of the hollow cavity. Using a wax-free mould, manufacturers then pour molten metal or silver into the cavity with a vacuum or centrifugal casting machine, completing the intricate production process.
